Design your personal capsule wardrobe!

As part of KIYAKAYA Exhibition for Urban Couture 2019 we present workshops providing introduction into the process for creating a personal capsule collection.

The workshop will be run in two parts:

  • Part One available on Wednesday 6 March, 2.30pm and Thursday 21 March, 6.00pm

  • Part Two available on Wednesday 13 March, 2.30pm and Saturday 23 March, 2.30pm

You will work together with design practitioners in an interactive group activities that will explore the processes and the application of 3D fashion design technology.

In Part One you will learn to experiment and explore design strategies for creating a collection, from generating ideas to making collages and your own 2D sketches from scratch.

In Part Two you will develop the designs digitally using application of 3D fashion technology. Turn those flat sketches into realistic 3D clothing. You will be able to create, visualise and instantly make changes to the garment designs.

Please note: you do not have to attend both parts to register. No prior experience is needed. The workshops will be interactive, perfect for fashion students, high school year 10, 11 and 12 as well as the general public. All resources will be provided for you to play. Bring yourself and ideas for creative inspiration.

Welcome to fashion for the digital age.
